EMPIRE SEASON 2 SET TO PREMIERE IN SEPTEMBER

FOX announced today that “Empire,” the popular show that grew in ratings week after week in Season One, will premiere its second season on Wednesday, September 23. The series features music by prolific producer Timbaland, and it stars Academy Award Nominees -  Terrence Howard and Taraji Henson. Chris Rock, Alicia Keys, Lenny Kravitz and many more are set to appear in Season 2.

By his videos, we know him. But nobody has heard from Abubakar Shekau, leader of the Boko Haram sect, in the last two months, fuelling rumours that he may be… alive. Perhaps only his recording studio and camera have been destroyed in recent military operations, and he is still setting up shop and props somewhere else before calling up AFP, his preferred news agency, to pick his latest DVD. Nobody dare claim that Shekau is dead. He has been reported dead on several occasions and has always resurfaced in his propaganda videos to denounce the "infidels". Recent military victories in his erstwhile strongholds have surprisingly not elicited any video response from the boastful leader of the insurgents, but the authorities are cautious about announcing his obituary again. Being a keen follower of the many dramas that don't stop coming from Nigeria, I think I have some very important pieces of advice for the Peoples Democratic Party which, beginning from 29 May 2015, would assume duty as an opposition party in Nigeria; the world's most populous black nation and Africa's fastest growing economy. *inserts applause. This would be uneasy. There is the fact that the PDP is experienced in being in power, in calling the shots and paying media houses to appear greater, but lacks gravely in the tactics needed to make a ruling party tremble at the mention of the term opposition . In a more identifiable description, the PDP is an ajebo. It is a learner – a novice in mudslinging as an opposition party. In a democratic setting, it could be an easy job but definitely not as easy as mowing the lawn of your lover who has invited you over with such a voice of a mischievous child tucking at his mother's wrapper for food. The government that would be out of
