Olusegun Agagu To Be Buried On The 4th Of October

The Ondo State Government has fixed October 4 for the interment of the immediate past Governor of the State, Olusegun Agagu, who died on September 13. In a three-day burial programme announced by the State’s Commissioner for Information, Kayode Akinmade, the burial events will kick off at the International Conference Centre, University of Ibadan from 11 a.m.

ASUU Foresees Increase In Fees, If Demands Not Met

Abakaliki - The Ebonyi State University Chapter of ASUU on Tuesday warned of likely increase in school fees if the demands of ASUU were not fully met eventually by the Federal Government. The Chairman of the chapter, Prof. Ndubuisi Idenyi, gave the warning in Abakiliki at a news conference on the current ASUU strike.

Tragic news: 12-year-old girl commits suicide in Bayelsa

A 12-year old girl in Bayelsa State has allegedly ended her own life by hanging herself in her family home.  The young girl, who is yet to be identified, reportedly committed suicide  behind her father’s house early Monday morning in Yenagoa, the state capital.  The Bayelsa State Police Public Relations Officer,Mr Alex Akhigbe,  confirming the incident said that the girl allegedly hanged herself early on Monday.

While driving home on sunday from church, I was drawn to the headline of the sunday punch( august 25, 2013) - STOWAWAY. I bought the newspaper and opened it when I got home. The story of the stowaway was about a teenage boy who stowed away on an Arik Air plane from Benin to Lagos hiding in the tire compartment. After reading the story I smiled, I could relate with the boys pain.
