JAMB BACKS-OFF ON ITS NEWLY ADOPTED POLICY.

The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board,  JAMB has back-off on its new policy adopted on July 14 to redistribute candidates to universities. JAMB's Public Relation Officer, Mr. Benjamin Fabian who disclosed this to Vanguard Tuesday in a telephone conversations said: "Candidates should go and write the post-UTME in their  institutions of first choices." He, however noted that after the post-UTME in their universities of first choice, if necessary, JAMB is still going to redistribute them. He said: "When they write the post-UTME in the schools of their first choices, they may wish to consider the other places we have taken them to for admissions. "The reason is that if they don't get admission in their first choices institution, they will get in the  second." He explained that JAMB's effort in redistributing candidates was only geared towards helping candidates of over-subscribed institutions gain admission to other federal or state universities

Permit me to address you as his excellency as it is deserving of anyone who has fought and won a political position.  Your excellency, I am KizitoEze, a second year student of the department of Economics. I understand you know me very well so I have no need of introducing myself.  It's with utmost respect that I congratulate you on your victory at the polls about 30 minutes ago. I believe you worked for it and that's why you won.  As you know so well, I was at the forefront of the #OzedForPresident campaign group of your major opponent not because I hated you but because I saw something in the young man I decided to support and I did so without fear or favour. He lost but, I'm thankful to God for choosing who he knows best. I'm proud I supported him!  Your excellency, even as your challenge just began, there are some groups of people you MUST avoid in order to have a better regime than your predecessor.  1. ILL advisers: I believe you understand what is right and what i

JIDENNA REACTS

Image
Last week, Nigerians dragged American-Nigerian singer Jidenna after he said in an interview that light-skinned are more likely to be kidnapped than dark skinned people as they are seen as more valuable in Nigeria. Jidenna is finally reacting to criticism explaining what he meant. Below is the open letter to Nigerians he shared on his website To all my Nigerian brothers and sisters I am, always have been, and always will be proud of my Nigerian heritage. I understand the pain and anger caused by some of the comments I made in a recent interview, and I wanted to address you directly. Contrary to popular belief, this interview was not the first in which I mentioned Nigeria. In fact, I'm frequently bragging about how Nigerians attend the world's most prestigious institutions, and how we are known to produce world class doctors, entrepreneurs, innovators, lawyers, engineers, professors, athletes and artists. Unfortunately, people tend to leave these moments out, and, in this case, h

‎And the future just played itself out right before us! However, the almighty in his infinite mercy has given us a chance to make a change or face the looming danger of having another failed government!  At this stage of molecular politics, people have already started rigging elections! Tufiakwa! Chineke nna ekwena ife ojoo! The kind of  criminal action displayed in today's elections is incredible of someone that wants to be a president and claims to be a leader!  270 voters were in the hall only for someone to win with a margin so high that the votes were 34 over! Is God not marvellous?  Dear friends, let's not be blinded by materials and tutorials and hence deliver NESA to the wrong hands again! This is a call from a concerned NESAITE who wants us all to make a difference together. This is not a note to assassinate anyone's character but to speak the blunt truth.  I am Kizito Eze and I am urging you all to exercise your franchise wisely at the polls on Monday. If I die t

No corrupt APC member would escape justice - buhari

Yesterday President Buhari had an interview with CNN chief international correspondent, Christiane Amanpour, on Tuesday, July 21.During the interview, Buhari spoke on a wide range of topics from quelling corruption to combating the  menace of Boko Haram.Below are 5 notable things the President said during the interview. 1. Nothing will work in Nigeria until Boko Haram is stopped .My people want security in the country to be stabilized both in the South-South region where militants are still sabotaging oil installations, kidnapping our people and demanding ransom, and in the North-East of the country where Boko Haram is still active. This is the main pre-occupation of Nigeria now and it seems nothing will work until Nigeria is secured. 2. The government is extremely wary of whom it would negotiate with, on behalf of Boko Haram."We have to be very careful about the credibility of various Boko Haram leadership coming up and claiming that they can deliver. We have to be very careful i

Diary of a Nigerian corper 1

Three months into my youth service, i look back with nostalgia and smile. Sometime in may i went to the cyber cafe to print out my callup letter. Before then i had paid the customary working fee to ensure i was sent to Enugu state.  As soon as i printed the letter i almost fainted. I checked and double checked to be sure i wasn't mistaken. Lo and behold i was posted to Jigawa state. i smiled and went back to my lodge, i made some phone calls and i went to bed. The next day i travelled to Lagos and in three days time i was airborne to kano. I had to fly to kano because there was no direct flight jigawa ...mstchewww imagine suffer head. Na waa to jigawa                       Dear diary after three weeks of suffer head, sun burns, waking up at 3am in the north the day we were waiting for finally arrived.
