The presidential election results for 18 states plus the FCT has so far been announced. The APC has 10 states, while PDP has 8 states plus the FCT, Abuja. It's a very tight race. So far APC is leading with 8,520,436 votes while PDP has 6,488,210 votes. The election result announcement has ended for today. The commission has reconvened till 10am today.

While addressing a press conference in Abuja on Monday, March 23, the APCPCO said that after spending 6 years in office, Jonathan’s legacies should be speaking for him. The songstress arrived the event venue 30 minutes behind schedule, and had to refunded ticket money bought by fans because she couldn't go on and perform at the show. Speaking on the matter, Yemi said, the organizers told her to arrive the venue at 2:00am but she did at 2:30 am. Unknown to her, the organizers had kept fans waiting since 10 pm. So, when she got there, several fans had left and those still at the venue had become violent and angry, so she couldn't perform. Alade, however, apologized to her fans in Dutch, meaning "The show promoters told me to come at 2:00, but I came at 2:30 am. I didn't know they have been waiting since 22:00." Pastor Paul Adefarasin, has revealed that he will not participate in the March 28 elections. The Senior Pastor of House on the Rock Church, took time out before his sermon on Sunday, March 8, to speaking about the church’s new campaigns, which tail off with hashtags like #IAmAPeaceMaker #SayNoToViolence #IStandForPeace etc. After re-emphasising the church was apolitical and he was non-partisan, Adefarasin stated he will not vote this year, because he belongs to a US association that feels the election campaigns have been violent so far.
