Press release: SUG UNN reduces shuttle fare

We bring you greetings, great lions and lioness, in the spirit of struggle.

In a meeting conveyed by the Deputy Vice Chancellor (Administration) with the Dean of Student Affairs; Secretary to Transroute Board; and Representatives of the Drivers; on Monday, 28th and concluded on wednesday 30th July, 2014, the following agreement was reached:

• Shuttle fare from park (town) to anywhere within the campus along the main route (i.e Town-> Main Gate -> Marlima -> chitis/ library -> franco -> flat gate will henceforth be N30 for buses & N40 for taxi and vice versa.


• Shuttle fare from main gate to anywhere within the campus (along the main route above) will henceforth be N20 for buses & N30 for taxi; and vice Versa (flat and franco inclusive).

This is with effect from tomorrow friday, 1st August, 2014. More so, the shuttle drivers have been asked to pay only N1,500 & N2,500 for taxi and buses respectively to the transroute Board as against the earlier charge of N2,000 & N3,500.
