UNN Suspends Post Graduate Studies, Students To Vacate Campus In 24hrs


The University of Nigeria, this afternoon suspended indefinitely all post graduate programs. This came as an after effect of protests held by students of post graduate studies.
The students had earlier agitated against the over 100% increment in their tuition, that came as orders from the new VC, Prof. Ozumba. Few hours after the protest, the Universities PRO released a circular mandating immediate evacuation of students and suspension of PG programs. Read the circular below

SUSPENSION OF SCHOOL OF POSTGRADUATE PROGRAMMES IN THE UNN
In view of the on-going impasse resulting in the undue postgraduate restiveness, Management has directed IMMEDIATE SUSPENSION of all postgraduate programmes indefinitely till further notice.
Postgraduate students in then PG Hostels are directed to VACATE THE PG HOSTELS NOT LATER THAN 6 PM TODAY, Friday January 16, 2015.
All concerned should please comply to avoid unpleasant consequences.
